Laura Civetti is a Digital  Designer specialized in material innovation, computational design and additive manufacturing, applied for the textile and fashion industry. Through the implementation of emerging technologies, she explores how to foster the relationship between the material, design, and body.

Today she is working as a freelancer, joining worldwide companies interested in integrating digital tools in the design process and she is author of Material innovation course for School of WRAD. 

Laura has worked with firms such as Iris Van Herpen Atelier in Amsterdam, Materfad-Centre of materials Barcelona as a Material researcher, and Noumena as Head Fashion tech designer working in the intersection between material innovation and digital design. Moreover, Laura has been coordinator of Reshape – design platform, to seek emerging designers for future industries.

Graduated from Interior Design at IED (Istituto Europeo di Design), in Milan, with thesis research on Eco-Yacht design, she soon shifted her curiosity in the new scenarios between the emerging technologies in the fashion industry. In 2016, Laura attended a Fashion course at Central Saint Martins School in London, and in 2018  she received her diploma at Fabricademy Barcelona.
